Accelerated Professionals Network (“APN”) Event Registration Terms & Conditions and
Policies
Prior to your registration, you must acknowledge and accept the Terms & Conditions contained
herein. Should you not wish to accept the Terms & Conditions you should not register or attend.
Implied Agreement – The following Accelerated Professionals Network (“APN”) Event
Registration Terms & Conditions (the “Terms & Conditions”) apply to all APN events. These
are the terms and conditions governing your participation in any APN owned and operated
virtual event, in-person event, meeting, show, seminar, or conference (the “Event”). By
registering for the event, you agree to these terms which form a binding legal contract between
the Event owner and host, Accelerated Professionals Network (“APN” or “Owner and
Organizer”), and the registered participant (“you” or “Participant”). If you are registering on
behalf of another individual, it is your responsibility to ensure the person participating is aware
of these terms and accepts them. You may be held fully liable and responsible for your guest. By
completing the registration on behalf of another individual you are warranting that you have
made the Participant aware of these terms and that they have accepted these terms. Acceptance
of the Terms & Conditions is compulsory for attending any APN event. Submission of a
registration is regarded as an affirmation of your acceptance of the Terms & Conditions.
Attendance at an event is an affirmation of your acceptance of the Terms & Conditions.
Participation Requirements
Cost of Access – Your registration entitles you to access to the Event for which you have
registered. Any and all other costs associated with your attendance shall be borne solely by
you, and the Event and Event Host & affiliates shall have no liability for such costs.
Membership Status – In order to obtain access to an APN Event, attendee must be a member
in good standing (dues are current) at the time of registration and at the time of the event, or be
registered as a non-member. If someone registers as a member and their membership expires
prior to the event, APN has the right to cancel their registration if they do not renew or charge
the non-member rate for that event and all other events going forward until membership is
renewed. Guest speakers, presenters, and other special invited guests of APN may not be
subject to standard registration.
Event Content – You acknowledge and agree that APN, in its sole discretion, reserves the right
to change any and all aspects of the Event, including but not limited to, the Event name, themes,
content, program, speakers, performers, hosts, moderators, venue, time, and cost.
Use of Registrant Contact Information – By registering for this Event, registrants give
permission for their contact information to be shared with other registrants, associated
third‐party vendors, event sponsors and be included in the Event Attendee List. If a registrant
would like to opt‐out, a written request must be sent to APN by filing out the form on the
Contact Us page with the subject “Contact Details Opt-Out”. The Attendee List may not be
reproduced, copied or disseminated, entered into a computer database, used as part of or in
conjunction with a mailing list, or otherwise utilized except for your individual, personal and
confidential reference. Use of the data in the Attendee List to send unsolicited marketing
e‐mails (“spam”) is not permitted. Infractions are policed and may result in legal or
disciplinary action, which may include cancellation of membership and/or future APN virtual
and live events.
How We Will Use Your Information – APN is committed to data privacy and protecting your
personal information. Information on how APN collects, processes, and uses your data is
included in the APN Privacy Policy which is hereby incorporated into these Terms &
Conditions. Additionally, by submitting your email address during the event registration
process, you agree that APN and its event partners may send you event-related information. A
valid email address is required for all registrations.
APN uses the personal data you provide in this registration for administering your participation
in this event. This may include information about the event’s content, event logistics, payment,
updates, and additional information related to the event.
APN may disclose your personal data to third-party service providers engaged by APN to assist
in the conduct of the event (i.e., housing bureau, mobile application provider). Information you
provide when registering for or participating in an event managed or co-sponsored by parties
other than or in addition to APN may be shared with those parties, and the treatment of such
information is further subject to the privacy policies of those parties. Except as described herein,
APN will not disclose your personal data to any other third party without your consent except
where required to do so by law.
Nondiscrimination Policy – APN prohibits discrimination, harassment, and bullying against any
person for any reason—for example, because of age, ancestry, color, disability or handicap,
national origin, race, religion, gender, sexual or affectional orientation, gender identity,
appearance, matriculation, political affiliation, marital status, veteran status, or any other
characteristic protected by law. Any member or non-member attending APN events or
participating in APN activities that exhibit discriminatory behavior may have their membership
revoked and may be banned from attending any further APN related functions without a refund.
Event Conduct and Safety – APN is committed to providing a safe, productive, and welcoming
environment to all members and event participants, including staff, sponsors, and vendors, at
APN -related events. APN has no tolerance for discrimination, harassment, or bullying in any
form. Participants are expected to adhere to these principles and respect the rights of others. All
participants have the right to attend events without harassment or discrimination in an
environment that supports diversity and inclusion. Participants should report any behavior
inconsistent with the principles outlined here, to on site staff, security, or venue personnel, or by
filling out the contact form on the Contact Us page with the subject line “Event Conduct and
Safety Violation”. Membership may be denied access to or asked to leave an event at any time
for any reason, at the full discretion of APN, without refund. Failure to comply with the wishes
or directives of APN staff may result in termination of membership without refund. Members
may be denied access or asked to leave an event or premises for reasons including, but not
limited to the following: Inappropriate conduct, the use of foul, derogatory, or offensive
language or behavior, arriving at or becoming intoxicated at an APN event, fighting or
threatening behavior, violating the spirit of APN, making disparaging comments or posting
negative comments on social media websites, or other media including the APN member site,
about APN, APN events, APN staff, members, sponsors, guests, or vendors, inappropriate or
predatory professional conduct, intimidation, promoting any agenda inconsistent with APN, or
using the APN affiliation, APN site, or APN events, as a platform to promote political speech or
agenda, including signage or apparel, or violating any of the Terms and Conditions. Registered
attendees may be denied entry to events for any reason without refund, including but not limited
to being not in good standing with APN, for violation of any of the Terms & Conditions and
Policies, or poor or unbecoming conduct and unacceptable or disruptive behavior.
Prohibited Conduct
Limitations on Use – By registering for an APN Event, you agree not to sell, trade, transfer, or
share your personal access link unless such transfer is granted by APN. If APN determines that
you have violated this policy, APN may cancel your access, retain any payments made by you,
cancel your membership, and ban you from future APN virtual and live events. All event
registration ticket transfers must be made and approved by APN more than 24 hours prior to
the event. Ticket transfers between members may be subject to upcharge commensurate with
membership tier. Ticket transfers between members are not subject to refund of the difference
between membership tiers. Ticket Transfers to any Non-member is subject to the difference be
original ticket purchase cost and the Non-member rate.
Disruptive Conduct – You acknowledge and agree that APN reserves the right to remove
you from the Event if APN, in its sole discretion, determines that your participation or
behavior create a disruption or hinders the Event or the enjoyment of the Event content by
other participants.
Recording & Broadcasting – Participants may not record or broadcast audio or video of
sessions of APN Events. Participants may not record any one‐on‐one meetings, group
discussions, virtual networking, or any other activity with other Participants without prior
written consent from APN all other Participants in the conversation. You may take photos at
the event with prior approval from APN.
Unethical Practices – APN reserves the right to deny participation to anyone who
engages in or is reputed to engage in unethical or non‐compliant business practices.
Additional Exclusions – APN may also exclude any prospective participant from
registering for or participating in any Virtual Event, in APN’s sole discretion.
Anti‐Harassment Policy – APN is dedicated to providing a harassment‐free Event experience
for everyone. APN does not tolerate harassment of any form.
What To Do If You Witness or are Subjected to Unacceptable Behavior:
Participants should report any behavior inconsistent with these principles to onsite event staff.
Event staff will be happy to help participants contact venue security or local law enforcement,
provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of
the event. We value your attendance. You may also contact APN directly to report a concern by
filling out the contact form on the Contact Us page with the subject line “Event Conduct and
Safety Violation”.
Release from Liability – In consideration of being allowed to register for, and participate in the
the event, you hereby warrant and represent that you are age 21 or above and freely waive, release
from liability, assume all risks, and covenant not to sue APN and its directors, officers,
employees, agents, representatives, and successors, and they shall not be liable for, and are
hereby released from, any claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, or expenses relating to or
arising out of any injury, disability, loss of life, or illness (Including but not limited to COVID –
19, Legionnaires’ disease, or other pathogens), to any other person or any loss of or damage to any
property of registrants or any other property where such injury, loss, or damage is incident to,
arises out of or is in any way connected with the registrant’s participation in the Event, and the
registrant shall be responsible for any such injury, loss or damage or any expenses relating
thereto. The registrant hereby agrees to protect, indemnify, hold harmless and defend APN and
its directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, and successors against all such claims,
liabilities, losses, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees and costs of
litigation; provided that the foregoing shall not apply to injury, loss, or damage caused by or
resulting from the sole negligence of APN and its directors, officers, employees, agents,
representatives and successors. In addition to the foregoing, the registrant agrees that it will make
no claim of any kind against APN and its directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives
and successors for any injury, loss, cost, or damage of any nature or character whatsoever,
including without limiting the foregoing, any claim for damage to the registrant’s business by
reason of the failure to the hold the Event or for any action of APN and its directors, officers,
employees, agents, representatives, and successors in relation to the Event. You also agree to
indemnify and hold the Released Parties harmless from all claims, actions, suits, procedures,
costs, expenses, damages, and liabilities, including attorney s’ fees, brought because of your
involvement in the event and to reimburse them for any such expenses incurred.
For events where alcohol is present, you affirm that you have reached the legal age of 21 to
consume alcohol and be on-premises where it is distributed. Should you consume alcohol, you
agree to drink responsibly and are encouraged to not operate a motor vehicle after consuming
alcohol. The Released Parties are free from any liability due to your participation in events
where alcohol is present, including consequences from your consumption of alcohol or the
consumption of alcohol by others.
This Liability Waiver and Release is specifically binding upon your heirs and assigns and is
knowingly given.
Service As An Invited Speaker, Presenter, or Guest – If you agree to speak or present at an
APN sponsored event, we may share your contact and biographical information with event
attendees. Sometimes we may also request a photograph. In other cases, we may post on the
respective event website information such as your name, employer, physical work address, work
email address, as well as a link to your company website and/or professional LinkedIn page
available to the public. This is so that visitors to the event website, including event attendees and
speakers, may contact you with questions and requests for more information, and to provide
feedback if needed. Additionally, speakers may be asked to complete a release agreement or
copyright form prior to their presentation.
Credential/Badge Scanning During an Event – APN event co-sponsors, exhibitors, and other
third parties may directly request your personal information at their exhibit booths or
presentations. Providing your information to them is optional, and you should review their
privacy policies to address your particular needs and concerns about how they will treat your
personal information. If during the event you attend a session or program hosted by an exhibitor
other than APN, you understand and agree that when you present your badge for scanning or
when you provide personal data, that information will go to a non- APN entity and APN takes no
responsibility for how that company uses your personal information.
Use of Likeness -Usage Of Photographic and Video Material Taken at APN Events – By
participating in an APN Event, you acknowledge and agree to grant APN the right to record,
film, live stream, photograph, or capture your likeness in any media now available or hereafter
developed and to distribute, broadcast, use, or otherwise globally to disseminate, in perpetuity,
such media without any further approval from you or any payment to you. This grant to APN
includes, but is not limited to, the right to edit such media, the right to use the media alone or
together with other information, and the right to allow others to use or disseminate the media.
To comply with global data privacy laws, APN imposes certain restrictions on the use of
multimedia at its events (i.e., photography, video, audio, online streaming, and all future
mediums). An attendee is permitted to use hand-held cameras and/or smartphones to take
photographs and capture digital images for personal, non-commercial use, provided the
photography is not disruptive. Photographs may not be published, sold, reproduced, transmitted,
distributed or otherwise commercially exploited in any manner whatsoever. APN may hire
professional service providers (photo/video/streaming/audio) to document and display the event
experience. APN may also use social media (i.e., Twitter) to: (i) post real time photos and
videos to its social media feeds; and (ii) display select submissions from those feeds on monitors
throughout the event venue. Attendees and sponsors are encouraged to capture their event
experiences and post their own social content from the event limited to text and photos. provided
it does not infringe upon the rights of any attendee, sponsor, third-party, or APN. Such
infringement would include but is not limited to, defamation or infringement of intellectual
property rights. In the event an attendee requires a release or permission to protect the rights of a
third party, obtaining such a release or permission shall be the sole responsibility of the
attendee. By attending the event, you acknowledge and agree as follows: (a) APN may edit and
use footage it captures at the event for marketing and promotional activities and for any other
lawful purpose in the ordinary course of its business; and (b) due to the prevalence of mobile
recording devices in today’s world, APN disclaims all liability for the capture of your image in
any multimedia format by other attendees at the event.
General – APN reserves the right to change, amend, add or remove any of the above Terms &
Conditions in its sole discretion and without prior notice. If one or more of the conditions
outlined in these Terms & Conditions should become invalid, the remaining conditions will
continue to be valid and apply. These Terms & Conditions apply to all event participants
(attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors). The views expressed by any event attendee, speaker,
exhibitor, or sponsor are not necessarily those of APN. All attendees, speakers, exhibitors, and
sponsors are solely responsible for the content of all individual or corporation presentations,
marketing collateral, and/or advertising.
UPDATED APN COVID – 19 EVENT ATTENDEES WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY
APN continues to monitor policies and procedures during the COVID-19 pandemic. The
safety and well- being of our members and event attendees are our top priority. Because
COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is spread mainly from person-to-person contact, APN
has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19. However, APN
cannot guarantee that its participants, volunteers, partners, or others in attendance will not
become infected with COVID-19 while at APN events.
Adherence to APN event policies and guidelines will be continuously monitored, and APN
will use reasonable efforts to enforce such policies. Please review the agreement below (this
Agreement). Additionally, your signature prior to the event will confirm your intent and
agreement to abide by policies put in place to protect event attendees and staff.
If you are unable to answer affirmatively to any of the following bullets at the time you are
attempting to enter an APN event, you acknowledge that your access to the event could be
denied prior to or on-site during the event. This is for the health and safety of all attendees.
Thank you for your understanding.
● I declare I am not experiencing or exhibiting any COVID-19 related symptoms as
outlined by the federal and state Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC),
such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath.
● I acknowledge I must follow the safety protocols that have been implemented by
the CDC and the State’s Governor.
● I declare I have not traveled internationally or to a highly impacted COVID-19 area
within the United States during the last fourteen (14) days.
● I am not aware, nor do I believe I have been recently exposed to a person with
a positive and confirmed case of COVID-19.
● I acknowledge I may be removed from an event or asked to leave by APN Staff
should I exhibit any behavior in violation of the CDC or the State Governor’s safety
protocols or if I exhibit signs of COVID- 19.
● I agree to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 (symptoms typically
include fever, cough, and shortness of breath) and contact APN using the contact form
on the Contact Us page using the subject line “COVID 19 Symptoms – {event name}” if I
experience symptoms of COVID-19 within 14 days after participating at an APN
event.
By registering or attending an APN event, I acknowledge the contagious and evolving nature
of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that I may be exposed to the COVID-19 virus
and become infected as a result. I understand the risk of becoming infected may impact event
guests and attendees as well as their families or personal contacts.
I voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any
expense, liability, illness, injury, disability, or death I may incur related to contracting the
COVID-19 virus or being exposed to the COVID-19 virus while attending an event hosted
by APN. I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless APN, and its
directors, officers, members, employees, and agents, from all claims of any kind arising out
of COVID-19 or any claim that I contracted or was exposed to COVID-19 at an APN event.
I understand and agree that this release of liability includes any claims against APN, its
directors, officers, members, employees, and agents, whether a COVID-19 infection
occurrence exists before, during, or after attendance and participation at an APN event.
If event attendee is a minor child under the age of 18 years, said event attendee’s adult
parent(s) or legal guardian(s) shall be jointly and severally liable for the event attendee’s
performance of this Agreement and represent and warrant to APN that they have full
authority to enter into this Agreement on behalf of such minor. Adult parent(s) or legal
guardian(s) agree to be bound by all terms of this Agreement, through acceptance of the
Event Terms & Conditions.
